Philosophy
Flying is not about the plane. At least not for me. Never has been. Instead, it’s about freedom. It's about the perspective gained from seeing the world from an alternate angle high above. It’s about the clarity derived from living in the moment, two-thousand feet above the ground where all your earthly worries are far below.
Lessons from the Cockpit is for all life travelers who seek insight, who want to live at a higher level, who long to soar on the wings of their dreams. While all pilots are welcome, these lessons are not about the technical aspects of flying nor does every post relate to flying an airplane. As life travelers, we all are pilots of our own destinies, navigating from the cockpits of the hearts and minds. We need both heart and mind to succeed on the path of our dreams, but sometimes we need reminders how to use them most effectively.
Above all, Lessons from the Cockpit is just as much about you as it is anything else. Most people I know want to improve their lives, to rise above the ruts and trappings that sap our zest for living. I hope you find the ideas within useful.
Welcome.
